On Tuesday, January 15th, 30 students from grades 6-8 participated in the annual National Geographic Bee. Students had to answer a myriad of challenging questions about both United States and World geography through a series of preliminary, final, and championship rounds, both verbally and written. Placing 2nd and 3rd (respectively) were 8th graders Mercedes Herrmann and Jamie Reilly. Finishing in 1st place was 7th grader Jeffrey Retzlaff. Jeffrey will now complete an online state qualifying exam. If he scores high enough, he will compete at the state competition in Madison, WI, and potentially go on to the national competition held in Washington D.C. where he will have the opportunity to win scholarships and a free trip! Congratulations to all participants, and excellent job, Jeffrey!

This week the 7th and 8th graders attended the Career Connection Academy at Moraine Park Technical College. They were able to participate and engage in hands on activities that allowed them to explore different career pathways from over 65 business representatives in the Fond du Lac area.
During the month of December, the Campbellsport Middle School Student Council held a reverse advent calendar food drive. Every day of the month, the students in grades 6-8 were assigned various food items to bring to donate to our local food pantry. Altogether the students brought in nearly 20 boxes full of food to be donated. Thanks to those who participated to help families in need during the holiday season!
We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful winter break! Happy Holidays!
