Letter to Parents

January 11

Campbellsport Parents,

Several notes today from the District:

1) As the Omnicron variant of this virus is impacting the total state, the numbers
are rising in the community and the school. In the complete Campbellsport
School District there are, according to the Fond du Lac Health Department; just
under two hundred fifty (248) positive test results with forty six (46) being
school age in the last two weeks.

2) Today we have nine (9) staff members out due to testing positive or that live
with a person who has tested positive. Six are teachers, several there is no
available substitute.

3) Student numbers are as follows:

4) NEW GUIDELINES - As of today Tuesday January 11th, the District is adopting
the recommendation for students and staff who test positive to isolate for five
days. If then the symptoms have subsided they may return to school but must
properly wear a mask for an additional five days. This timeframe would also
be applied to quarantined persons who have had contact with someone with a
positive test.

Please keep your students home if they are not feeling well. There are many other
illnesses around that are also contagious. Today we have around a hundred (100)
students out for various reasons besides COVID. We are striving to keep school open
but might be forced to close it student absences keep rising or we do not have enough
staff.

Respectfully,
PAA
